One more week .....

Little miss Hailey - also known as "momma" or "queenie" is hanging in there. She is getting uncomfortable and just loves someone to lay by her and rub her belly. Last night she never jumped up on the bed as I think it is just getting to hard for her. She did get up there this morning though and we did some belly rubbing. Tonight we will put the whelping box together and up in our room so she can get used to sleeping in that again.

2 more weeks ......

Everything is going along as expected .... uneventful... other than her belly getting bigger by the day. Hailey has the sweetest disposition and she very rarely barks - she communicates with her eyes and her wagging tail. If there is something she wants you to know about she'll get you to go with her to see what it is. Last weekend, while we were gone, she kept going to my daughter's bed wagging her tail and looking at her. She could not figure out what she was trying to tell her ..... until she pulled back all her covers and found that Hailey had hid her rawhide bone under the sheets. Silly girl.

It is hard to tell how big she is in this photo, but I gave her a bath Sunday night and she is very round.

Pregnancy confirmed!!

Hailey is definitely having puppies. She is already growing wider and she weighed in 2 pounds heavier at the vet's office last night. She was so excited to go for a ride and let her head hang out the window. How they do that when it is only 34 degrees outside is beyond me.

So, the journey continues ..... count down to March 24 or 25 begins.
