Charlie (aka Grady) UpDate!

The last time I saw Charlie - now known as Grady - he was peacefully sleeping in a crate, waiting for his new family to pick him up:


Now, a little over a month later he's doing great and growing rapidly. He is such a little fur ball and reminds me alot of our Brinkley when he was little. His new family report:

He is doing awesome!! He is actually quite mellow, lays around quite a bit but always ready to play when he has an interested candidate. He is retrieving like crazy, not gun shy and loves to be around the family. He has been swimming in Torch lake several times and is still trying to make friends with our older two dogs. He has not won them over quite yet, but the relationship is improving.

It is so fun to watch them grow. I love the updates.

Jack Update!

Just after posting about our new baby, I received an e-mail with pictures of Jack! From all reports he is doing really well and I quote:

"...We went to the vets today. He is very healthy. He definitely has an attitude. I know it looks like he is being spoiled but we have been working on his hunting skills. He is a retrieving fool. Loves the water! The kids took him to the community pool in our subdivision the second week we got him home. Much to their surprise and mine he ran up to the edge of the pool and dove in. Then they couldn't keep him out of the pool so they came home. Not many pups would be that brave. Taking him to a friends this weekend to introduce him to hundreds of Quail, Pheasants and Chuckers. Should be interesting."

I am just tickled to have gotten this report. It just amazes me how much these dogs change in appearance. They've only been gone a month, but look at the difference from when he left until now.

Isn't he cute!! I've also received updates on Rosie and Hannah . . . once I receive photo's I'll post them too. They are doing well.

August 1st - Meet our new baby!

Introducing B'Nellie. She arrived a week ago Thursday out of North Dakota and her flight went well. She has been camping with us already at Silver Lake and this week she has been able to come to work with me every day. I have to retrain myself on training puppies!
