Almost an empty nest.

We had a very busy weekend passing out puppies and it was so much fun to meet most everyone for the first time, and seeing a few of you for the 2nd time! I can't help but wonder what the others think as the litter kept getting smaller and smaller as the day went on Saturday. At one point I found the 4 remaining laying under a bed rather than on top of it, maybe hoping that they could stay together that way?

I do believe there are 8 happy families, getting little sleep, but also getting lots of puppy kisses and snuggle time.

The first to go late Friday night was Vinnie. In order to beat the bad weather reports, they drove through the night to get home. I've received word that they made it fine and all are doing well. I'll have to post the pictures they sent too - tomorrow.

Checking out his new Christmas toy before leaving....

His new happy family....

The next morning, bright and early, Lola left for West Virginia. I asked them to send me a family photo which I'll add when I get it, but here she is with her new toy before leaving....

Micky went home to Ohio to surprise a couple of boys that had no idea they were getting a puppy! I cannot think of a better gift for anyone, young or old....

Pearl was also a surprise for 3 young boys. One got to join his dad for the surprise and hold her on the way home - I am waiting to hear what the other's thought of her....

Then it was Chumlee's turn to go. He also had a very long trip out to Pennsylvania, I'm sure there was lots of bonding going on during that trip....

Ollie went next and he'll still be in Michigan, right in the area that we camp during the summer, so I will be anxious to see him this summer.....

Last on Saturday to go was Sparty. Even though they are Michigan fans (a-hem), they put that aside and picked him. :-) He was going home to meet his 5 year old big brother and I think the 2nd picture here about says it all.....

Then yesterday, big boy Roy was picked up. I think they had the worst travel day as far as weather goes. He'll be in Michigan too in our camping area.

So, now we are down to Sienna and Elsie. I'll be flying Elsie out to New York this Friday and snuggling with Sienna all weekend. Last night I brought them both in the house and the Christmas tree - which thankfully is not decorated yet - was a HUGE play thing. They were just panting from running round and round and grabbing branches!! I tried to get a video but they are just too fast.

Shew - I think that is it for today! Big hugs to all the pups that are gone.
