One year ago this afternoon, I was helping Hailey deliver her beautiful puppies, while my neighbor accepted delivery of my new washer and dryer .... everything happens at once! But, I needed it for all the puppy bedding I was about to have to wash continuously.

I am tickled to share update on Oddie(our Dash) and Finnegan (our Hank).

Odie is such a sweet dog. Such a cute personality. He gets along with people and other dogs so well. He lives to play catch. He loves the dog park where he enjoys playing keep away from the other dogs. I sure love him.

We love our boy so much, he is very sweet and very cuddly. He seems so big too...he weighs 63 pounds today. Where does the time go? Soon it will be back to training, once the 12" of snow that we received on tues/weds melts! We have plans to get him on some birds at a local club/preserve this spring & summer so that he is totally ready for this fall.

He loves going fishing with Jon- when the boat is moving up or down river he heads up to the bow and puts his face into the wind and does what Jon call's "super Griffon", it's pretty funny. He and Ziggy are best buddies. They still love to go for long walks and romping in the woods.

Christy and I have never been around any animal that makes us laugh as much as he does, he's just kind of goofy! He also is very stubborn/determined. Once he has made up his mind it is very hard to alter his plans. Especially if it involves smelling something!
Thank you for breeding such wonderful dogs.

These wonderful updates make me feel like such a proud mom (or grandma).

The litter Hailey had last spring will be a year old this coming Friday - March 25. In honor of their birthday I received this update on Molly .....

Molly is doing very well! She is a great dog loving and kind spirited and absolutely bird crazy. We have been training at Colonial Farms in Chelsea she has been on 60+ birds finding them all. It is so awesome watching her snap into hard points and retrieve to hand (most of the time). She has already learned to give me the look when I miss, as to say i did all this hard work and you missed.

We have a 20 bird hunt in a couple weeks, we will start training on ducks in the spring. We have a grouse hunt planned for the fall so she will be a very busy girl.

I cant say enough about her she is great. I want to thank you again for such a great dog.

She definitely has her mom's expressive eyes:

Roxy(aka Pearl) !!

If you've been a faithful follower you will remember that Pearl was the runt of our last litter. She had a totally white body and lots of spunk. She went to a home with 3 little boys that were not too sure about a puppy. As you will see - they have adapted quite well.....

Roxy is settling in so well--a full fledged member of the family now. She likes to nap in the front hall where the sun streams through the window and the boys just lay down next to her to snuggle. She's an eager learner. Doing sit, stay, lie down, come and leave it, well. No more eating Legos! People are totally enamored with her and we're doing our best to promote this fabulous breed.

More updates

Saturday, March 26th I have a vet appointment for Hailey to confirm pregnancy. The gestation period is so short, they are 1/2 done before we even know for sure! Think happy thoughts everyone!!

Here are a few new pictures of Father Shamus - he was big boy Roy in our last litter. He seems to have thinned down a bit!

He is quickly approaching 40 lbs. and is a joy to train...He has met several Griffons around town this weekend, and has been doing really well with training.

Loves to retrieve,Does “down”, “leave it”, “Whoa”, “Come”, and “get” really well. His training table is built and he can’t wait to get on that and figure out what the “Boss” wants in order to get some of those yummy treats I have in my pocket.

Georgie is also doing very well and learning new things daily .....

She is in Puppy One Class and has learned sit, down, stand, watch me and come. She is very smart and Scott is quite proud of his girl. She is really well behaved in class. She makes us the envy of the other dog owners! Especially one of the other sporting dogs…. A German short-hair (Tucker) he is super hyper but Georgi seems taken by him!

Last litter updates

I received a note about Micky(Kugel) the other day .....

Kugel had his 4 month check up today and is doing very well. He lost 5 teeth and weighs 36.4 lbs. All is well..

Today I heard from Sparty (Roby)'s family...

Roby is doing great. Last vet visit, he was 30 lbs and when I take him this
Monday, I expect that to be going up again :)He is really turning into a
sweetheart. Yes, many puppy moments as you can see from the one photo. Never
thought our tp usage would increase :)

I couldn't quite figure out what TP stood for until I openened the picture. Nothing like a little boy and his puppy to get into some mischief.

All is going well with Hailey. I expect the litter to be here around April 24th or 25th. It'll be 3 more weeks before the pregnancy is confirmed though. By the time we find out, it is almost time for whelping!

I hope to have more updates to share soon.
