With only Candy and EB left, we bring them into the house and outside as much as possible. When I get home from work, I go to the pole barn to let them out and they run right up the sidewalk, bound up the steps and bounce into the sliding glass door trying to get inside. They run all over the place, mostly tormenting each other, although B'Nellie can give them a run for their money. I am not sure which of us will miss them the most - me or B'Nellie!
After about 3 hours of non-stop play, they both found a spot under the coffee table to sleep....
Candy chews on a cat toy.....
It kind of looks like B'Nellie is scolding EB....
This morning EB found Cushman, our cat on my chair ....
Over the weekend 4 puppies went home with their new families....
First Tisket
Second to go was Jelly Belly
The last one on Saturday was Peeps
Then on Sunday little Tasket left
Saturday night while I only had 3 of them, I brought them all in the house and we worked on stairs. They are willing to go up the stairs, but hesitate in coming back down. Especially Tasket. She cried, and cried and cried, but with some coaking, and help from Hailey and B'Nellie she finally came down. Then, it was up/down, up/down, up/down until they were all pooped out. I have a video which is a little dark, but it is cute, hopefully the video uploads work today.
Here is a picture of EB, then Candy and you can just see Tasket sitting at the top...
Last night I rigged up a larger area for the pups to play and RUN outside. The little 3' fence is a cinch for the big dogs to jump over and get into the action .... or should I say steal toys and eat puppy food .... :-) Huntley is obsessed with the puppy toys, and in the video you will see that B'Nellie is enjoying their ball all by herself. Crazy dogs!! They ran and played and then I put them in mom's kennel for a little while so I could do a little cleaning and lay down fresh newspaper.
E.B.....
Candy getting at the garbage bag....
Tasket chewing on the water hose.....
Huntley has the toy and that is all he cares about .....
The videos won't upload right now - I'll try again this afternoon!
Last night Lily and Peter were picked up. I forgot to take a picture of Lilly's family, but will remedy that soon. I did get a report that Lily (Ellie) loves it outside and wants to go back out as soon as they bring her in.
Here is Peter (Harry) and his new Dad....
I often wonder what the other puppies think as the litter gets smaller and smaller each day. This morning, the remaining 6 were all sleeping together in the large kennel bottom. They've been running around the garage a bit while I change newspapers and getting into all sorts of trouble ... they just love that free, run-run-run feeling.
Last night Jelly Belly left for his new home with his wonderful new family ....
Tonight both Lily and Peter are getting picked up. They will be fairly local though, so hopefully I will see them once in a while as they grow. It makes me happy to see them placed with such great families, but it always is sad to see them go too.
I can't go in or out of their area without at least one escaping. Here is Tisket with the water hose....
Cadbury found a patch of dirt and quickly figured out that he could dig ....
When they go to sleep, I have time to take a few photos .....
EB...
Lily and Candy...
Tasket....
After breakfast this morning, I found 5 on the floor....
And 3 in the crate.....
I don't know why none of the videos are working. Hopefully it gets corrected soon.
I don't think I shared these pictures of Henry last week. He was our Chumlee from B'Nellie's litter last fall. These are some great shots of a dog doing what they love to do on a car ride.....
It looks as though the movies aren't working today for some reason. Hopefully they will have that fixed soon.
As they get older and more active, my picture taking is getting less and less it seems. Here we are at 7 weeks already, and Wednesday night we will be saying good bye to 3 of them. We get outside as often as possible and we are also going in the house in groups of 2 or sometimes individually. None are afraid to explore and all the big dogs get along well with them too.
The best part of opening up the pole barn door is this greeting....
Grandma petting Candy at the dining room table...
Cadbury and Candy play with B'Nellie
Stella is not too sure about Cadbury...
CeCe gets it from both sides....
CeCe and Cadbury....
Here is a short snipit of 2 puppies chasing the dogs around...
With the temps hitting 90 yesterday and high humidity, I called my helper and told her it was Pool Time! She could not get over to the house fast enough!! They all had a chance to walk around in the pool, explore and figure out what it was all about. After about 30 minutes of playing, drinking the water and chasing each other around, we went back inside and they played a little more before snuggling in.
Our Kennel name is very sentimental to me - it was named after my dear Dad. He was such a dog lover that I found it only fitting to name it after him. I know he's watching over us and very proud.
Our next litter is estimated to be winter of 2018 and this blog is to introduce you to our extended family and give you a history of our dogs. As the pregnancy progresses and the puppies arrive, I will continually update photo's and information.
Please feel free to leave a response if you are interested in a puppy.
