We are proud of Father Shamus!

B'Nellie's first litter produced a big boy that we lovingly called "Big Boy Roy" and he is now known as Father Shamus. While in the Traverse City area last weekend, we hooked up with them and were lucky enough to be in town the same day as his NAVHDA Natural Ability test. When we got to the testing site, he was already done with his tests and the anticipation of what score he would get was lingering.

Father Shamus is definitely a big boy - full of fun, silliness and hunting instincts. We all talked, snapped pictures and met the NAVHDA group up there. They all seemed pretty impressed with F.S. We said our good byes after a while and I made Joseph promise to let me know what they scored.

We were so excited to hear that he scored 110 out of 112 points for a Prize I!! We know that excitment all so well, as that is the same score his dad Huntley received during his N.A. test. Afterwards we invited them to the campsite for a celebratory drink and talked about the day.

Here we are with our "little" boy .....

The men talk about training, while F.S. poses ....

After a hard day, relaxing at the campsite with his dirty beard. No wonder I felt all dirty after loving him up!.....

Congratulations Joseph and Father Shamus!!!

Puppy update

Gracie from Hailey's last litter is having fun at her new home. They say she is growing quickly and doing well in training. Here are a couple of recent photos....

They say this picture is pretty fitting as it shows her "devil" ears.....

In other news, we just bred B'Nellie and Huntley exactly one year to the day of her last mating. We are happy to annouce that puppies should be here around October 21-23.

We also had fun visiting with Big Boy Roy, from B'Nellie's litter last fall. I will update tomorrow with pictures and big news on him.
