We would like to wish all of our extended family that has one of our puppies, as well as all that follow along on our adventures a very Happy Holiday Season.    We hope that 2014 brings us some puppies late in the year so the fun can begin again.   In the mean time we always have fun with our gang.....from left to right, Rizzo, Brinkley, B;Nellie, Hailey and Chip.

Our new little guy.....

The end of August we made the road trip down to Plum Creek Griffons in southern Georgia to pick up our new little man..... Plum Creek's Chip Off the Old Block.....call name "Chip".   He is Huntley and Hailey's grandson and we bought him from the same person we bought Huntley from all those years ago.   He exhibits some of the same sweet traits that Huntley had.   He is very mellow and we love to spoil him!

Chip has won over all the other Kaiser Griff's and they play wonderfully.   Rizzo sometimes forgets her size, as at age 1, is still a puppy herself.  B'Nellie just lets him climb all over her and chew on her.   She is so tolerant!

The whole gang...Hailey, B'Nellie, Rizzo, Chip and Brinkley...

His first trip to Lake Michigan....

He's not spoiled at all....

Rizzo meets him for the first time....

Just another day at work with mom....

Sad News

On June 4, 2013 we said goodbye to our handsome Huntley. He was faithful, funny, smart, a great hunter and most of all, our buddy. He was the first Griffon we ever owned and we had never even seen one until he got off the plane in January of 2001. Our hearts still ache for his loss, but his legacy lives on in all the puppies he sired and he will live on forever in our hearts.

Also, we bred B'Nellie in late May and just found out that it did not take.   After much thought we have decided to retire her from breeding and let her live out her days as my sidekick.    She was a great mom of two litters and we are saddened that she won't have more, but know that it is the right thing to do.

It will now be a while before we have puppies again.   Probably not until late in 2014.   In the meantime we have Mizz Rizzo training for her NAVHDA natural ability test in August and we are awaiting the news that our new little boy has entered the world.   He will be Huntley and Hailey's grandson and we'll have that awesome bloodline back in our program.

I'll post updates of him when he arrives of course.

The Gang's all Here!

I just wanted to share picture I took of the whole gang this morning. From left to right is Hailey, B'Nellie, Huntley, Brinkley and Rizzo.

We are just waiting for B'Nellie to go into heat so we can get this show on the road! I expect it to happen anytime within the next 6 weeks or so. Trying to be patient, as there isn't much I can do about it. Hopefully she holds off for another couple of weeks as our daugter is due for her first child soon and I don't want everything happening at the same time.

The end of May I'll be stepping into the Conformation ring with Rizzo - first time for both of us. Should be fun! (I hope)

Thanks for still stopping by my page!!

This 'N That

Our B'Nellie's pregnancy attempt this past fall did not take and she went through a false pregnancy. She was pretty convincing too with the added weight, even my vet thought she had to be pregnant, but it was not meant to be that time around. Huntley is aging gracefully, so we are in the works of finding a stud dog for B'Nellie's next heat cycle. A lot of people have decide to wait with us that were on the list for her pups, and for that I thank you and hopefully we will have some good news this spring/summer. No one misses having a litter of pups more than I do! Today is the 3rd birthday of Hailey's "C" litter. Happy birthday to those cute little babies!! I know you all have fantastic homes and I love the updates I receive. Here is a picture of Dash (Odie) showing off his birthday toy. We continue to be very busy with our pack of Griff's .... especially Mizz Rizzo....she has more energy than the other 4 combined. She and B'Nellie are best buddies though and play wonderfully together. We planon testing Rizzo for natural ability with NAVHDA this summer and I am going to attempt showing her also. It is a learning experience for us both. Thank you to all my faithful followers. Happy Easter!!
